AND Gate Hardware

Computer Engineering

How It Works

An AND gate is a fundamental digital logic circuit that outputs logic HIGH (1) if and only if all of its inputs are logic HIGH. In transistor hardware implementations, the logic function is realized through a series combination of n-channel MOSFET pull-down switches or diode-resistor networks. Current carriers only conduct through the series path to drive the output when gate-to-source voltages activate both channels simultaneously.
