How It Works

Albert Einstein's General Theory of Relativity establishes that gravitation is not an ethereal Newtonian force, but the geometrical curvature of four-dimensional spacetime caused by mass-energy density. Massive bodies warp the local spacetime metric, and freely moving particles follow curved geodesic trajectories through the warped manifold.
